Just saw a huge fireball over Ireland
3.40 AM here, a massive, scorching shooting star. Obviously something burning up in the upper atmosphere. Wider tail than a comet, apparent speed similar to a meteorite. No sound report. Any ideas?

New amateur photographer here
So I recently got a camera for my birthday (it's a Canon 4000D, I know, it's not the best camera on the planet, but it's a start). Something that I want to do is to get photos of the Milky Way and possibly planets if possible. Are there any tips you guys have for me? Anything and everything is welcome.

Looking for beginner binocular recommendations
I'm looking to buy a cheap pair of binoculars for my girlfriend for her birthday and I'm wondering if you all have any suggestions. She's interested in stargazing but has never had a telescope or binos. I'm looking for a pair that won't need a tripod but still will be a good introduction to stargazing. Thank you all in advance. Looking to spend under $100

I want to be a Planetary Scientist: What should I work hard on in school?
Hi! I am a teenager about to start high school(Fall), and I have been thinking about my career. Astrogeology/ Planetary Science is something that I have always loved: But where to start? I haven't found a lot of help on blogs and stuff since this is a relatively obscure career path. For reference, I love math(am in algebra 2), enjoy computers, use space programs like [Slooh.com](https://Slooh.com), and also a big fan of Michio Kaku and Brian Cox. Are there any things I should volunteer in for college credit or courses that I should pay extra attention too? Thanks so much!

Possible to add StarSense to Celestron 8” Dobsonian?
I’ve been offered a Celestron 8” Dobsonian for $250. However, I lust after a Celestron w/Startsense. Is it possible/cost effective to buy a modification to add StarSense to the ‘vanilla’ Celestron 8” Dobsonian? Thanks
