Beautiful dancing mangrove trees in Sumba island, Indonesia 😍 This island in East Nusa Tenggara has a magnetic mix of pristine nature and indigenous culture. Despite being dubbed as the island paradise on the rise, or even the ‘next Bali’, Sumba is still one of Indonesia’s best-kept secrets. This beautiful location is filled with new spots to discover and life-changing experiences. "Along the beach you may find beautiful dancing mangrove trees. It's a very small and fragile place, but endless source of compositions. And It's surprisingly remote. When I rented a scooter to get here everyone was smiling and greeting me. People didn't get used to see tourists here." 📷 danielkordan #nature

Why hello there 😍⁣ ⁣ #EarthCapture by james_lowe_wildlife ⁣ ⁣ Brown fur seals (Arctocephalus pusillus) are incredibly acrobatic swimmers. Able to turn on a pinpoint, this agility helps not only when it comes to hunting, but also when they themselves are being hunted. It's not unusual to see them around kelp forests such as this; the kelp is added protection from predators.⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #bbcearth #furseal #seal #kelpforest #oceans #underwaterphotography #oceanphotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #amazinganimals #nature #naturelovers #earth #earthlovers

The OG sheep 🐑⁣ ⁣ #EarthCapture by lukasvejrik ⁣ Mouflons (Ovis gmelini), native to the Capsian region, are thought to the be the wild ancestor of all domestic sheep. Genetic studies looking at mitochondrial DNA in modern sheep today show a strong connection between modern breeds to this wild species. If you've ever wondered what wild sheep look like, these are the originals.⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #bbcearth # # #mammals #landmammals #amazingphotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #amazinganimals #nature #naturelovers #earth #earthlovers

I never envisioned falling in love with such an uncommon perspective. Truth is I never left the country, flew in a plane, or owned a passport until I was on my first assignment as a photographer in my early 20’s. What a wild ride those first few years of seeing the world became. It’s possible that the lack of experience I had in traveling made me ultra sensitive to what I felt and witnessed when I began to see what was actually out in the world. Every emotion was heightened. Flying, especially, left such deep impressions in my psyche. It was riveting, pure joy at the sight of simply “seeing” something different. This image captured close to home was created during the filming of my Aerial Photogrpahy Workshop w/ wildistco . Check it out.
