Boop that snowy snoot this instant! 😍❄️⁣ ⁣ #PerfectPlanet - Volcano⁣ A North American river otter (Lontra canadensis) sniffs the air and surveys its surroundings as it prepares to hunt; it must remain ⁣vigilant on land where coyotes or wolves could be on the prowl. These amazing otters have incredibly insulated fur which helps them cope with the icy water inside Yellowstone National Park where this one was photographed.⁣ ⁣ #EarthOnLocation by © Silverback Films⁣ For more about A Perfect Planet and where to watch, click the link in our bio. .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ #bbcearth #APerfectPlanet #NorthAmericanriverotter #riverotter #otter #Yellowstone #mammals #landmammals #amazingphotography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #amazinganimals #nature #naturelovers #earth #earthlovers

Have you ever seen the northern lights? Lapland (in same: Sápmi - in Finnish: Lappi - in Swedish: Sameland / Lappland) is a transnational region in northern Fennoscandia, straddling the territories of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia, whose indigenous people are the Sami. The Northern Lights can be seen in Finnish Lapland almost 200 nights a year, provided that the sky is sufficiently clear. The most traditional way to experience these light phenomena is to go out into nature on snowshoes, skis, snowmobiles or dogsleds. Photos & caption by ristoleskinen #naturegeography
